Mogadishu, Somalia – January 4, 2025 –
The Director-General of the Immigration and Citizenship Agency, Mr. Mustafe Sheikh Dhuxulow, held a meeting at his office with diplomats from the Indian Embassy based in Nairobi, Kenya.
The discussions focused on facilitating easier access to visas for Somali citizens traveling to India, particularly for medical purposes, as India remains a popular destination for healthcare-related travel.
During the meeting, the diplomats also briefed the Director-General on the progress of establishing a new office in Mogadishu. This office will provide visa services to Somali citizens, enabling them to obtain Indian visas directly in the Somali capital, streamlining the application process and enhancing convenience for travelers.
The Immigration and Citizenship Agency remains committed to strengthening cooperation with international partners to ease travel processes for Somali citizens and improve access to essential services.
