Somalia’s PM visited the ICA, endorsing the new leadership’s reforms.

The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, paid a visit to the Immigration and Citizenship Agency (ICA) headquarters. During his visit, Mr. Barre met with the agency’s top management and personnel to discuss ongoing changes and evaluate recent reforms implemented by the new leadership.

During the meeting, the Director of ICA, Mr. Ahmed Said Mohamed, delivered a detailed summary of the agency’s recent changes and accomplishments, as well as an outline of its future strategic objectives.

Mr. Mohamed highlighted the agency’s efforts on reducing administrative processes, improving customer service, and strengthening border control measures to safeguard the integrity of Somalia’s immigration system.

In his meeting with the officials, the Prime Minister praised the agency’s devotion and commitment to serving the country. He emphasised the need for effective and transparent immigration systems for enhancing national security, encouraging lawful migration, and attracting foreign investment.

The Prime Minister showed his full support for the continuing changes and reiterated the government’s commitment to provide the Immigration and Citizenship Agency with the resources and assistance it requires.

He underlined the necessity of maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, honesty, and efficiency throughout the immigration and citizenship procedures.
