The Immigration and Citizenship Agency (ICA) has inaugurated the new building of the Feer-Feer border crossing post in the Hiran region of the Hirshabelle State. The ceremony was officiated by the Director General of the ICA, Mr. Ahmed Said Mohamed.
The new border crossing post will play a vital role in enhancing the country’s security by providing modern equipment to check people traveling at the border. The Director General emphasized that this is a crucial step in strengthening national security.
“The ICA is committed to improving border security and facilitating legitimate travel,” said Mr. Mohamed. “This new border post, along with our ongoing plans to improve infrastructure at other border points, will significantly contribute to our efforts in monitoring immigration and protecting our borders.”
The ceremony was attended by the Governor of Hiran and other officials of the Hirshabelle state, all of whom expressed their support for the project.
The Feer-Feer border post is one of the country’s first border crossings established after independence, and it serves as a vital point for trade between the two countries, facilitating the transportation of various goods.
