ICA Somalia Trains Officers in Fraudulent Document Detection

[jun 8, 2024, Mogadisho -Somalia]

The Immigration and Citizenship Agency (ICA) of Somalia has concluded a training session for 25 of its immigration officers focused on the detection of fraudulent travel documents.

The aim of this training program is to equip ICA’s frontline personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively identify false and genuine passports, visas, and other travel documents. This initiative is a key part of the ICA’s role in securing Somalia’s ports of entry and ultimately contributing to the country’s national security.

By investing in the capabilities of its officers, the ICA is demonstrating its commitment to safeguarding Somalia’s borders and strengthening the country’s defense against evolving transnational security threats.
