- Letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation: A meticulously composed letter, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, carrying the signature of the Minister, Deputy Minister, or Permanent Secretary, is mandatory. This letter serves as a formal endorsement, underscoring the applicant's qualification for the diplomatic or service passport.
- Acceptance and Signature of the Director General: The Director General of the Immigration and Citizenship Agency (ICA) plays a pivotal role in the passport application process. Applicants must obtain the acceptance and signature of the Director General, which signifies the validation and compliance of the application with relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Employment Letter: A comprehensive employment letter, originating from the appointed or employing government institution, is imperative. This letter serves as an official attestation, confirming the applicant's position and employment status within the government structure.
- Declaration of Reason: Applicants are required to submit a well-articulated declaration elucidating the purpose for seeking the diplomatic or service passport. This declaration should explicitly outline the official duties and responsibilities that warrant the issuance of such a specialized passport.
Please Note:
- Spousal Diplomatic Passport: In the case of obtaining a diplomatic passport for a spouse, the submission of a valid marriage certificate is obligatory. This document acts as substantiating evidence for the spousal association.
- Service Passport for Temporary Employees: Temporary employees seeking a service passport must provide a bank statement as a testament to their financial standing and ability to support themselves throughout the duration of their employment.
- Age Restriction: Service passports are not granted to individuals under the age of 18, as per the prescribed regulations.
