The Immigration and Citizenship Agency (ICA) Officers participated in a week-long training session on immigration and border control in Moshi, Tanzania.
The training program, organized by the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), focused on enhancing the officers’ skills in preventing organized crimes, strengthening border control measures, and promoting cooperation among member states on immigration and border crossing matters.
The training sessions covered various topics, including identifying fraudulent travel documents, detecting human trafficking, and implementing effective border security operations. Participants gained valuable insights into intelligence sharing, interagency coordination, and the utilization of modern technological tools to ensure secure borders.
The participation of ICA Somalia officers in this training program underscores the commitment to improving immigration and border control measures, contributing to regional stability, and ensuring the orderly and secure movement of individuals across national borders.
